Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join a busy Level I Trauma Center in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency and trauma environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Position and prepare patients accurately for radiologic procedures.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiographic imaging equipment.
- Follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during imaging procedures as needed.
- Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately during examinations.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using the hospital's electronic imaging systems.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient confidentiality standards.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Current Ohio Radiographer License.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA).
- Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience.
- Level I Trauma Center experience is required.
- Experience performing diagnostic radiology procedures in an acute care setting.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with hospital imaging systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional imaging procedures such as CT or advanced radiology techniques.
- Previous experience working weekend night shifts in a high-volume trauma center.

Important Notes
- Weekend Nights: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 6:30 PM β 7:00 AM.
- Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray experience is required.
- Level I Trauma experience is mandatory.
- Maximum of 7 days of Requested Time Off (RTO) will be accepted. Candidates exceeding this limit will be automatically rejected.
