- Position: X-Ray Technologist
- Location: Eureka, CA 95501
- Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:00)
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
- Start Date: Aug
Pay Breakdown:
- Weekly Gross: $2,800
- W2: $25/hr.
- OT after 8hr/day: $75/Hr
- Stipend: $1,400 Weekly
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated X-Ray Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images that assist physicians in evaluating patient conditions. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities, including X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine procedures. Your expertise in radiation safety procedures and patient care will ensure the delivery of high-quality imaging services within a fast-paced clinical environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient diagnosis and treatment while adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, fluoroscopy units, CT scanners, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine devices to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them accurately, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure.
- Assist in performing advanced procedures including interventional radiology techniques and PET scans under physician supervision.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret imaging results and ensure diagnostic precision.
- Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques during invasive procedures to prevent infections.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members for diagnostic evaluation and patient management.
- Keep detailed records of imaging procedures performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor equipment functionality regularly and perform routine quality control checks to maintain optimal operation.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing training related to emergency room experience, Level I/II trauma center protocols, and emergency medicine practices.
Requirements:
- Recent 1 Year of X-Ray Tech Experience - Required
- ARRT (R), Fluro, BLS AHA - Required
- CA Radiology License - Required
