We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for an urgent contract opportunity supporting a high-acuity oncology unit. This position is ideal for nurses with chemotherapy administration experience who are comfortable managing complex oncology patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients.
- Safely administer chemotherapy and other oncology-related medications.
- Monitor patients for treatment responses, side effects, and adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and symptom management.
- Maintain compliance with oncology nursing standards and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Chemotherapy Certification required.
- Must be chemotherapy trained and competent in administering chemotherapy.
- Previous Oncology nursing experience required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills.
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Night Shift: 7:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- 48 Hours Per Week
- 4 x 12-Hour Shifts
- Contract Assignment
