Travel RN – Medical-Surgical ICU (MSICU) | Days & Nights

 

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU)
Shift: 3x12-Hour Days & Nights
Patient Ratio: 1:2

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, critical care to adult patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients requiring advanced monitoring and life-support therapies.

This position offers the opportunity to care for a diverse ICU population while working collaboratively with intensivists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

 

Requirements

  • Active RN License
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Required Clinical Skills

  • IV therapy and peripheral IV insertion
  • Arterial line management
  • Central line and PICC line care
  • Blood product administration
  • Ventilator management
  • Care of mechanically ventilated patients
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
  • Endotracheal and nasotracheal suctioning
  • Interpretation of ABGs
  • Continuous IV sedation
  • Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Management of acute and chronic renal failure
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
  • IV insulin protocols
  • GI surgical patient care
  • Infection prevention and isolation precautions
