Job Summary – Registered Nurse (Cardiac Cath Lab)

• Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Location: UnityPoint Health – Iowa (Traveler may float within local campuses)
• Shift: Days | 4x9 Hours | 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks 

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Experience with:
  • Coronary interventions
  • Vascular procedures
  • Scrubbing in Cath Lab cases
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Vasopressor titration
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
  • RotaPro/Rotablator
  • Penumbra system
  • Interventional Radiology exposure (preferred)

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active Iowa RN License
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS

Required Skills

• Cardiac Cath Lab scrub experience
• Coronary & vascular case management
• Vasopressor titration
• IABP management
• Rota device experience
• Penumbra device experience
• Epic EMR

Preferred Experience

• At least one completed travel assignment

Job Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac and vascular catheterization procedures
• Scrub and circulate in Cath Lab procedures
• Monitor hemodynamics and patient status
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications
• Operate Cath Lab equipment safely
• Document procedures accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care

• Traveler must live more than 50 miles from the facility (Madison accepts locals with a 10% rate reduction)
