Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing services within Pittsburgh Public Schools. In this role, you will support the health and well-being of students by delivering direct nursing care, managing chronic and acute medical conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with school staff to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies.
• Perform skilled nursing procedures, including G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, seizure management, diabetes care, blood glucose monitoring, catheter care, and emergency response.
• Assist students with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, hygiene, and mobility assistance when required.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), and support IEP and 504 Plans.
• Monitor student health, respond to medical emergencies, and communicate changes in condition to appropriate school personnel.
• Maintain accurate health records, medication logs, and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to support student success.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, nursing standards, and confidentiality requirements.
