Description
Surgical RN (RNFA) – Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support surgeons in a fast-paced operating room environment. This role is ideal for a skilled perioperative nurse with expertise in assisting during surgical procedures, particularly total joint cases (hips and knees), and experience with da Vinci Xi robotic surgery systems.
Qualifications:
- Active NC RN license or Compact RN license
- Current RNFA and BLS certifications
- Preferred 3–5 years of surgical nursing experience
- Experience with orthopedic total joint procedures, especially hips and knees
- da Vinci Xi robotic surgery experience preferred
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Rotating call schedule: 7 consecutive days every 6 weeks, including one weekend per rotation
The ideal candidate is a collaborative OR professional who excels in surgical assistance, patient advocacy, and delivering high-quality perioperative care.
