• Weekend Nights
• Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 Hours per Week

Position Summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Travel X-Ray Technologist to join the Diagnostic Radiology team at its Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have strong trauma experience, travel experience, and the ability to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Accurately position patients while ensuring comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Utilize proper radiation safety practices and infection prevention standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with additional radiology procedures as trained (including select CT procedures, when applicable).
• Maintain accurate patient documentation utilizing hospital radiology computer systems.
• Prepare and calibrate imaging equipment and report equipment issues when necessary.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism while caring for diverse patient populations. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered or Registry Eligible.
• Current Ohio Radiographer License required.
• Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience.
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience required.
• Level I Trauma experience is required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position patients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing additional radiology procedures, including select CT imaging.
• Previous experience working in high-volume acute care hospitals. 

Unit Requirements

• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience.
• Maximum 7 days of Requested Time Off (RTO).
  • Candidates requesting more than 7 days of RTO will be automatically rejected.
• August start dates only.
• Interview required.
