Elementary Learning Specialist (Special Education Teacher) – K–5 | Thornton, Colorado | $45–$52/hour

We're currently seeking a dedicated Elementary Learning Specialist (Special Education Teacher) to support Kindergarten through 5th grade students at an exceptional K–13 charter school for gifted students in Thornton, Colorado for the 2026–2027 school year.

- Active Colorado Special Education Teaching License required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
Job Details
- Assignment Dates: August 9, 2026 – May 31, 2027
- Pay: $45–$52 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
- Grade Levels: Kindergarten–5th Grade
- Caseload: Approximately 10 students (may increase slightly with new enrollments)
- In-person position
Role Overview
The Elementary Learning Specialist provides specialized instruction and academic support to students with disabilities while fostering an inclusive learning environment. This role includes developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with classroom teachers and related service providers, monitoring student progress, and partnering with families to help each student reach their full potential.
