Requirements & Qualifications

  • Certifications Required:
    • ARRT (R) or RCIS certification
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute care Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting.
    • Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
    • On-call availability as required by unit needs.
  • Licensure: Active state license/registration as required by Arizona.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures.
  • Prepare, set up, and maintain sterile fields and specialized equipment in the cardiac cath lab.
  • Monitor, record, and document hemodynamic data and vital signs during procedures.
  • Administer contrast media and handle radiation equipment adhering to strict ALARA safety guidelines.
  • Maintain effective communication with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and safety before, during, and post-procedure.
