Description

ER Registered Nurse (RN)

Start Date: ASAP
13-week assignment
NO BLOCKED SCHEDULING
3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
36 guaranteed hours per week
Every other weekend required
All requested time off must be submitted with application. No time off will be approved after offer
No disciplinary issues (“hits”) on nursing license
Interview is phone or virtual

Requirements:

Minimum 1.5 years of experience
2 years of recent ER experience required
Active state nursing license required (NY or compact)
If no NY license, must have already applied and provide application date
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS

Clinical Skills Required:

Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias)
Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues
Administer blood products
Manage central lines
Start and maintain IVs
Administer IV sedation and vasopressors
Care for stroke (CVA) patients
Care for ventilated patients
Manage BiPAP/CPAP
Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
Follow isolation precautions
Perform triage
