Description
ER Registered Nurse (RN)
- Start Date: ASAP
- 13-week assignment
- NO BLOCKED SCHEDULING
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- All requested time off must be submitted with application. No time off will be approved after offer
- No disciplinary issues (“hits”) on nursing license
- Interview is phone or virtual
Requirements:
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience
- 2 years of recent ER experience required
- Active state nursing license required (NY or compact)
- If no NY license, must have already applied and provide application date
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
Clinical Skills Required:
- Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias)
- Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues
- Administer blood products
- Manage central lines
- Start and maintain IVs
- Administer IV sedation and vasopressors
- Care for stroke (CVA) patients
- Care for ventilated patients
- Manage BiPAP/CPAP
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Follow isolation precautions
- Perform triage
