Description
Position: Physical Therapist (DPT)
Location: North Bergen, NJ 07047
Contract End: September 30, 2026
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8s | 40 Hours/Week
Weekends: None
On-Call: None
Holidays: None
Job Requirements:
- Active New Jersey Physical Therapy License
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) required
- Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises and manual therapy
- Gait, balance, and functional mobility training
- Orthopedic, neurological, and post-operative rehabilitation
- Patient and caregiver education
- EMR documentation (Epic experience preferred)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Preferred Skills:
- Musculoskeletal assessment
- Manual therapy techniques
- Neuromuscular re-education
- Pain management
- Fall prevention
- Assistive device training (walker, cane, crutches)
- Discharge planning and home exercise programs
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and rehabilitation standards
