Description
OR RN travel assignment:
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
- Shift: 4 × 10-hour Days
- Typical: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Variable start times: 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM, depending on the surgical schedule
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- On-Call:
- 1–2 weekdays per week from the end of the shift until 7:00 AM the next morning
- Occasional weekend call: Friday through 7:00 AM Monday
- Holiday call required (no scheduled holiday shifts)
- Floating: Yes – Pre-op, PACU, Endoscopy, and circulating cases
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years OR experience
- Required Skills:
- Strong circulating experience
- Pre-op and Post-op experience required
- PACU experience preferred
- Orthopedic, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Endoscopy cases
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Michigan RN License
- EMR: Epic
- OR Suite: 3 ORs and 1 Endoscopy room
- Scrubs: Provided
- Local Radius Rule: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
