PCU / Med-Surg RN travel assignment:

• Weekly Hours: Not specified (typically 36 hours/week, but not stated in this posting)
• Shift: Day or Night (specific shift not listed)
• Unit: 29-bed PCU / Med-Surg
• Patient Ratios:
  • Days: 1:4
  • Nights: 1:6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday (EOH)
• On-Call: None
• Floating: Yes – to other Med-Surg units on a rotation if overstaffed
• Experience Required: Intermediate Care/PCU background with experience in:
  • IVs
  • Drains
  • Ostomies
  • Wound VACs
  • NG tubes
  • Foley catheters
  • Electronic Health Records
• Drips: Heparin, Insulin (occasionally), Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Nitro
• Required Certification: BLS (ACLS preferred)
• Telemetry: Monitor techs watch telemetry; RNs are not required to interpret strips
• Orientation: 12 hours computer training + 12 hours unit shadowing
• Scrubs: Any color
• Local Radius Rule: Candidates living within 80 miles are paid at the local rate (client bill rate reduced by $8/hour)
• Additional Note: Previous employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 6 months before submission.
