Description
Position Overview
The RRT will provide comprehensive respiratory care services, including ventilator management, patient assessments, respiratory treatments, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services under physician direction for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Assist with intubation procedures and manage ventilator setups.
- Perform patient evaluations, treatments, and diagnostic respiratory procedures.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory care needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation according to hospital standards.
- Float to adult ICU, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care units as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent RRT experience required.
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required.
- Previous ventilator management experience required.
- Must be willing to float within adult ICU/intermediate care areas.
- Must have an active New Jersey Respiratory Care License.
Required Certifications
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
Contract Details
- Every other weekend required.
- Holiday coverage required.
- Night shift position.
- 13-week assignment.
