Travel RN Assignment Summary – Operating Room (OR RN)
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)

- Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM) with late shifts as needed to complete surgical cases
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience
- Ophthalmology OR experience is required
Required License & Certification
- BLS

- 6 Operating Rooms
- Approximately 22 cases per day
- Common procedures include:
- Cataracts
- Vitrectomies
- Scleral buckle procedures
- Corneal transplants
- Minor general surgery
- Minor spine stabilization
- Spinal cord stimulators
- ENT procedures
- Dental surgery
Call Requirements
- Weekday Call: Minimum 1 call shift per week
- Weekend Call: Up to every other weekend
- Holiday Call: Rotational
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
