Pharmacy Technician – Travel Assignment

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists with medication preparation, inventory management, stock maintenance, medication inspection, and record keeping while ensuring compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inpatient & Infusion Services

• Prepare sterile IV admixtures and other sterile medications, including antineoplastic, investigational, and hazardous drugs, in accordance with USP <797> and USP <800> guidelines.
• Prepare non-sterile compounded medications in accordance with USP <795> and USP <800>.
• Utilize closed system transfer devices (CSTDs) to minimize hazardous drug exposure.
• Prepare and maintain investigational medications following study protocols and documentation requirements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot pharmacy computer hardware and software systems.

Outpatient Services

• Process electronic prescription orders for pharmacist verification.
• Process third-party insurance claims.
• Assist with call center operations, mail-order prescriptions, prior authorizations, and deposits.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule & Assignment Information

• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved before profile submission.
• RTO requests submitted after upload will not be approved.
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO will be accepted (fewer days preferred).
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible.
• Non-Billable Orientation: 0 hours
• Holiday, Overtime, and Call-Back Rate Multiplier: 1.25x
• Charge responsibilities: Not applicable

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current Pharmacy Technician experience
• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (NCCT certification is not accepted)
• Active New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician license
• Strong experience with IV sterile compounding and chemotherapy compounding
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• Must have reliable personal transportation for the assignment
• Housing must be secured prior to submission
• Permanent home address must be included in the candidate profile

• One signed supervisory reference from the past two years
• Active CPhT certification
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician license
