Position Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Inpatient Rehab
• Location: Smithville, MO
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Nights | 3x12 (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Active Missouri, Kansas, or Compact RN License (must be in hand)
• BLS & ACLS required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience in Acute Inpatient Rehab, Orthopedic, Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical Rehabilitation
• Strong skills in IV therapy, PICC/central line care, blood administration, phlebotomy, EKGs, respiratory treatments, BiPAP/CPAP, wound care, feeding tubes, NG/PEG management, stroke care, spinal cord injury, seizure disorders, mobility assistance, diabetic management, and patient education
• Comfortable caring for patients with CVA, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, pulmonary and cardiac conditions, orthopedic recovery, debility, and amputations
• Willing to float to other units, including ED inpatient holds, as needed

Additional Information

• Weekend Requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• No local candidates within 75 miles
• Maximum 7 days of RTO at the time of submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
