Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Shift: Days | 5x8 Schedule
Pay Rate: $75/hourly
Mandatory Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Required Wound Care Certification: CWON, CWCN, CWS, or WCC
- Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
- 3+ years of Wound Care nursing experience
- 2+ years of EPIC EMR experience
- 2+ years of Pressure Injury assessment and management experience
- Strong expertise in wound, ostomy, continence, and complex wound care
- Experience developing and implementing individualized wound care treatment plans
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Assess and manage pressure injuries, chronic, surgical, and complex wounds
- Perform wound measurements, dressing changes, and monitor healing progress
- Implement pressure injury prevention and evidence-based wound care interventions
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy care, and skin integrity
- Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain wound care standards
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality policies
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care
- Float to other units as needed to support patient care
