Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care

 Location: Brooklyn, NY
Shift: Days | 5x8 Schedule
Pay Rate: $75/hourly

 

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Required Wound Care Certification: CWON, CWCN, CWS, or WCC
  • Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
  • 3+ years of Wound Care nursing experience
  • 2+ years of EPIC EMR experience
  • 2+ years of Pressure Injury assessment and management experience
  • Strong expertise in wound, ostomy, continence, and complex wound care
  • Experience developing and implementing individualized wound care treatment plans

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
  • Assess and manage pressure injuries, chronic, surgical, and complex wounds
  • Perform wound measurements, dressing changes, and monitor healing progress
  • Implement pressure injury prevention and evidence-based wound care interventions
  • Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy care, and skin integrity
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain wound care standards
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality policies
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care
  • Float to other units as needed to support patient care

This is an ASAP Wound Care RN opportunity in Brooklyn, NY, offering $75/hour on a Day Shift (5x8) schedule. Candidates must have an active New York RN License, current BLS & ACLS, and a valid Wound Care Certification (CWON, CWCN, CWS, or WCC). A minimum of 3 years of Wound Care experience, 2 years of EPIC EMR, and 2 years of Pressure Injury management experience are required. Candidates should have strong hands-on wound care skills and be willing to float and work occasional weekends/holidays as needed. Only candidates meeting all mandatory requirements will be considered.
