Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: – Terre Haute, IN
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
Employment Type: Travel Contract – 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 10-hour shifts
Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Assist with cardiac intervention, EP, and rhythm management procedures.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Manage STEMI call responsibilities and provide emergency cardiac support.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR.
- Support a high-volume procedural environment while ensuring patient safety and quality care.
Schedule & Shift Details
- Primary Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- On-Call Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (varies by rotation)
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Guaranteed: 40 hours/week
- Rotating on-call schedule:
- Approximately once per week
- Every 5th–6th weekend (Friday–Monday coverage)
- Flexibility to assist with additional call coverage as needed
- Six-week rotating schedule with rotating days off
- Includes a scheduled four-day weekend within the rotation
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience
- Acute care nursing experience
- Strong cardiac catheterization experience required
- EP experience preferred
- Ability to participate in STEMI call rotation
Required Certifications
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
- NIHSS Certification
