Description
Submission Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate of a one-year accredited histology program - Required
- Certificate in Histology, either Histotechnician or Histotechnologist Certification - Required
- ASCP registration - Required
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in histology - Required
- Knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the histology department.
- Knowledgeable regarding surgical and autopsy pathology
- Knowledgeable regarding the identification and embedding of all tissue specimens.
- Knowledgeable regarding the cutting and mounting of tissue specimens.
- Knowledgeable in H & E staining and cover slipping of all tissue specimens.
- Knowledgeable in the preparation of frozen sections.
- Knowledgeable in the performance of special histochemical procedures.
- Have basic computer skills.
