Description

  • Specialty: RN – Urology Clinic
  • Setting: Acute Care – Outpatient Urology Clinic
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (No weekends)

Shift

Rotating day shifts:

  • 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Requirements

  • BLS (AHA)
  • RN license not required at submission
  • BSN not required
  • Must live 50+ miles from the facility
  • Cannot have worked as Permanent or PRN at any CSH facility within the last 12 months
  • Manager interview required

Required Experience

  • Setting up and maintaining a sterile field
  • Assisting with urology procedures
  • Catheter insertion
  • Experience in a clinic/procedure setting preferred

Patient Population

Common diagnoses:

  • BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia)
  • Hematuria
  • UTI
  • LUTS (Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)
  • Urinary Frequency
  • Cystoscopy patients
  • Prostate biopsy patients

Unit Details

  • 6 clinic rooms
  • 4 procedure rooms
  • 33–40 patients per day
  • Staffing:
    • 2 RNs
    • 1 CST
    • 1 CNA

Floating

  • May float to other specialty clinics if needed.
  • Duties and responsibilities remain the same.

Call / Weekend / Holidays

  • No call
  • No weekends
  • Clinic closed on major holidays

Charting

  • EPIC

Dress Code

  • Scrubs (any color)

Orientation

  • Procedure setup and takedown
  • Unit-specific orientation

Cancellation Policy

  • Up to 4 shifts may be canceled during a 13-week assignment
  • Up to 3 shifts may be canceled for assignments less than 13 weeks
  • Facility may choose to pay full hours instead of canceling a shift.
