• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Every Other Weekend Required
• 3 out of 6 Holidays Required
• No On-Call
• No Float Requirement
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue (Provided)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN plans, implements, coordinates, and documents individualized nursing care based on patient needs. Performs assessments, therapeutic nursing interventions, patient education, and ongoing evaluation while delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. Advocates for quality care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Note: Position is primarily Mother Baby/Postpartum Nursing with less emphasis on Labor & Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manage postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Provide newborn assessments and routine newborn care.
• Care for antepartum and postpartum patients.
• Support Labor & Delivery and OR when needed.
• Document patient care according to hospital standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of Mother Baby/Postpartum nursing experience.
• 5 years of experience preferred.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
