🚨 Travel Stepdown / PCU RN Opportunity 🏥
We're hiring an experienced Stepdown / PCU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment.
đź©ş Unit Details
- 30-bed Stepdown/PCU unit
- Patient Ratio: 1:4–6 (based on acuity)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- Every Other Weekend required
- No call required
âś… Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown/PCU experience
- Active RN license
- BLS & ACLS required
- Comfortable with:
- Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Angiomax
- Telemetry strip interpretation and documentation

- Travelers are expected to float to other inpatient units as needed
- 50-mile radius rule applies
- A copy of your unexpired driver's license is required at submission
- Any license disciplinary history must be disclosed at the time of submission
- Navy blue scrubs
- Orientation includes 2 days of general orientation and 1 day with a preceptor

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
