Description
Ultrasound Technologist – Day Shift (5x8 Hours)
Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols to produce high-quality images for diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as pregnancy, cardiovascular disease, abdominal disorders, and other medical conditions. The role also includes mentoring ultrasound staff and ensuring ultrasound equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma or Certificate from an accredited Ultrasound program (Required)
Experience & Skills:
- Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a hospital or acute care setting
- Ability to perform high-quality imaging while following established protocols
- Experience supervising or mentoring ultrasound personnel is preferred
- Knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance
Licenses & Certifications (Required):
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from an approved provider
- One of the following active credentials:
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), or Vascular (RVT), or
- CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), or
- ARRT-S (Sonography) or ARRT-VS (Vascular Sonography)
- For California and Hawaii, ARDMS/CCI/ARRT certification is required (multiple specialty certifications preferred).
