Travel Stepdown/Cardiac Tele RN

š©ŗ Specialty: Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown RN
ā° Shift: 12-hour Days or Nights (7:00ā7:00)
š
Contract: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- Cardiac/Telemetry or Stepdown experience
- BLS & ACLS required
- Must be comfortable titrating cardiac drips
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Patient Population:
- Cardiac and post-cath patients
- AMI, respiratory failure
- Post-op lung surgery
- Pacemakers, chest tubes, post-PCI
- Cardiac medication drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Nitro, and Ativan
Assignment Highlights:
- 29-bed Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5ā6
- Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
- Float only to Med/Surg or Tele units
- Royal blue scrubs
- RT manages CPAP/BiPAP; RNs interpret telemetry strips

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst Iāve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is okš„“ but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Donāt do it!
