Description
Travel OR RN – Ophthalmology
📍 West Virginia
🕒 Shift: Days | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (late shifts as needed)
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience
- Ophthalmology OR experience is required
- BLS required
- Experience with ophthalmic procedures including vitrectomy, scleral buckle, corneal transplants, and cataracts
- Additional experience with ENT, minor general surgery, spinal cord stimulators, minor spine, and dental procedures is a plus
Assignment Highlights:
- 6 Operating Rooms with approximately 22 cases per day
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Float to other surgical departments if needed
- Comprehensive unit orientation
Call Requirements:
- Minimum 1 weekday call shift per week
- Up to every other weekend on call
- Holiday call rotation
- 30-minute call response time
Important Notes:
- Only one submission is allowed across the entire WVU Health System
- Candidate must live 50+ miles from the facility
- Valid driver's license is required with submission

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
