Travel Stepdown/Med-Surg RN

⏰ Shift: 12-Hour Days or Nights
đź“… Contract: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- Stepdown RN experience required
- BLS & ACLS required
- Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
Patient Population:
- Respiratory conditions
- Chest pain
- AKI
- UTI
- General medical and Stepdown patients
Assignment Highlights:
- 20-bed Stepdown/Med-Surg unit
- Ratios: 1:3 (Stepdown) | 1:5–6 (Med-Surg)
- No call required
- No floating
- RT support for CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow
- Royal blue scrubs
- Unit-specific orientation provided

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
