Description
Unit: Pulmonary/Medical PCU
- Shift: 12 HR shift AM (approx 6:45 am)
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday
- Location Requirement: Locals are not accepted (within 50 miles of facility)
Clinical Responsibilities
Must be able to:
- Handle multiple chest tubes
- Manage trachs, home vents, BiPap, maxed out Airvos
- Manage central lines
- Titrate one vasoactive drip (not multiple)
- Manage CIWA protocols
- Manage insulin drips
- Care for complex wounds
Unit Specific Details
Medical PCU candidates need to:
- Be able to pass arrhythmia test
- Have worked in a PCU level of care for at least 2 years
- Handle multiple chest tubes, trachs, home vents, BiPap, maxed out Airvos
- Manage central lines
- Titrate one vasoactive drip (not multiple)
- Manage CIWA and insulin drips
- Care for complex wounds
