Description

Unit: Pulmonary/Medical PCU

  • Shift: 12 HR shift AM (approx 6:45 am)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday
  • Location Requirement: Locals are not accepted (within 50 miles of facility)

Clinical Responsibilities

Must be able to:

  • Handle multiple chest tubes
  • Manage trachs, home vents, BiPap, maxed out Airvos
  • Manage central lines
  • Titrate one vasoactive drip (not multiple)
  • Manage CIWA protocols
  • Manage insulin drips
  • Care for complex wounds

Unit Specific Details

Medical PCU candidates need to:

  • Be able to pass arrhythmia test
  • Have worked in a PCU level of care for at least 2 years
  • Handle multiple chest tubes, trachs, home vents, BiPap, maxed out Airvos
  • Manage central lines
  • Titrate one vasoactive drip (not multiple)
  • Manage CIWA and insulin drips
  • Care for complex wounds
