Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This is a great opportunity for both new graduates and experienced COTAs looking to grow their careers in a supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve patients' functional abilities, mobility, coordination, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current or eligible Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure/certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

• 0–2 years of experience in occupational therapy or a rehabilitation setting (new graduates encouraged to apply)
