Travel RN – Med-Surg | Nights | Jasper, IN
Specialty: Registered Nurse – Med-Surg
Location: Jasper, IN
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience
- Active Indiana RN License
- BLS Certification (required at submission)
- Epic experience preferred
Unit Highlights
- 29-bed Adult Med-Surg unit

- Pneumonia
- Heart Failure
- Cardiac conditions
- Encephalopathy
- Infections
- Wounds
- Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)
- Stroke/TIA

Schedule & Expectations
- 12-hour night shifts (7P–7A)
- Weekend and holiday rotation as needed
- Potential on-call/call-back (discussed individually)
- May float to similar Med-Surg units
- 3 call-ins may result in contract termination
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
- No scrubs displaying competing healthcare system or agency logos
Submission Requirements
- No local candidates (40-mile radius rule)
- BLS certification and active Indiana RN license must be attached with submission
- COVID-19 vaccine not currently required (subject to change)

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
