Description

Position Summary:
Registry/Travel Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) responsible for individualized assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, effective respiratory care. Collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient progress, documents care per department standards, and manages time/resources to support efficient department operations. This assignment is in a Level III NICU (95-bed unit, ~600 deliveries/month).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivers quality respiratory care within scope of practice, following aseptic technique, universal precautions, and patient-specific safety/cultural considerations
  • Communicates patient status and updates to the healthcare team; updates care plan each shift; participates in rounds as needed
  • Documents care accurately per policy, including point-of-care charting and charges/credits
  • Manages workload effectively, adapts to changing assignments, and completes duties within required timeframes

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years recent acute care Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Minimum 2 years Level III NICU experience

Education:

  • A.S. Degree preferred; RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) preferred

Licensure:

  • Active CA RCP License

Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • PALS
