Pharmacist | Roles & Responsibilities

Verify and accurately dispense medication orders in accordance with physician prescriptions and hospital policies.

Review patient medication profiles to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.

Monitor patient medication therapies and identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse reactions.

Provide drug information and medication counseling to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Identify, prevent, and troubleshoot potential medication safety hazards.

Document clinical interventions, medication reviews, and patient interactions in the medical record.

Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians and support personnel to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations while maintaining accurate medication records.

Required Documents / Certifications

• Active Pharmacist License
• BLS
• Hospital/Inpatient Pharmacist experience (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medication safety, pharmacotherapy, and pharmacy operations
