Description
Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLT) with strong Hematology experience to join a leading diagnostic laboratory in Irving, TX. This role is ideal for a laboratory professional experienced in high-complexity testing and proficient in hematology, including slide review, quality control, and accurate result reporting while maintaining compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-complexity laboratory testing and specimen analysis.
- Review, verify, and release accurate laboratory results.
- Perform hematology testing, including peripheral blood slide review.
- Maintain quality control, instrument calibration, and laboratory documentation.
- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot testing issues and document corrective actions.
- Report STAT and critical results according to laboratory procedures.
- Participate in training, quality improvement, and regulatory inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science.
- ASCP certification (MT/MLS/MLT) required.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing.
- Strong hematology experience, including slide reading.
- Knowledge of quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and laboratory procedures.
- Strong computer and laboratory information system skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a reference or diagnostic laboratory.
- Proficiency in hematology and manual differential interpretation.
- Previous experience in a high-volume laboratory environment.
