OB Technician (OB Tech) – Travel Assignment
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Start Date: August 25, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Available Shifts
- Days: 3×12-Hour (6:50 AM – 7:20 PM)
- Nights: 3×12-Hour (6:50 PM – 7:20 AM)
- Block Scheduling: Not Available
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent OB Technician experience
- At least 1 completed travel assignment required
- Previous travel experience is required (must have completed at least one assignment)
- Labor & Delivery and scrub experience required
- Clinic experience required
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required
- Must be willing to float between Labor & Delivery and Women's Health
- Call: 3 shifts every 6 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Licenses & Certifications
- Maryland CNA License required
- Pending MD CNA License accepted with proof of application at the time of submission
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and Registered Nurses during obstetric surgeries and procedures within the Labor & Delivery department.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and sterile fields for scheduled and emergency obstetric procedures.
- Scrub and assist during C-sections and other OB/GYN surgical procedures.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or medical provider.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Perform specimen collection, phlebotomy, IV insertion, Foley catheter care, and accurately document patient observations in the electronic health record.
- Support nursing and medical staff during procedures and diagnostic testing while maintaining a safe, patient-centered environment.
Additional Information
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted (local pay rates apply).
- Candidates must be flexible to work day or night shifts, participate in call rotation, and float between Labor & Delivery and Women's Health as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OB Technician with strong Labor & Delivery, scrub, and patient care experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment in a collaborative women's health environment.
