Description
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures while producing high-quality images for physician interpretation. The technologist will ensure exceptional patient care, maintain imaging equipment, and support efficient workflow in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation.
- Prepare and maintain patient records and imaging documentation.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and report malfunctioning ultrasound equipment.
- Safely transport patients to and from the imaging department as needed.
- Maintain an efficient workflow by accommodating both scheduled and emergent examinations.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to infection control and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Ultrasound Technologist experience in an acute care hospital
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and patient care
Schedule
- Shift: 5 × 8-hour shifts
- Hours: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Additional: Occasional overnight shifts as needed
- Weekend Rotation: Required
- On-Call: Required based on patient census
