Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location:
2220 N. Druid Hills Road
Atlanta, GA 30329
Schedule:
- Days
- Monday–Friday
- 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- 4 x 10-hour shifts
- 40 hours/week
Requirements:
- Active Georgia RN license or Compact (Multistate) RN License required.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Current PALS certification required.
- Previous Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR) experience required.
- Pediatric operating room experience preferred.
- Call participation is required.
- Facility is nicotine-free; candidates must pass nicotine screening as part of the drug screen.
- Influenza vaccination is mandatory. No medical or religious exemptions are accepted.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
- Scrub and circulate during complex cardiac surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and surgical safety standards.
- Prepare operating rooms by verifying equipment functionality, surgical instruments, implants, and specialty supplies required for cardiovascular procedures.
- Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the multidisciplinary surgical team throughout operative procedures.
- Monitor patient condition during surgery and respond promptly to changes in hemodynamic status or surgical needs.
