Description
Key Details
- Shift: 10-hour days, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 40 hrs/week
- Call: Required
- Department: OR – Surgery | Ortho Tech
- Average volume: 20–25 cases/day
- Setting: Acute care
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Surgical Tech experience
- Orthopedic experience required
- Scrubbing experience required
- BLS — required
- Must have either:
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, or
- Military training
- Active Illinois license or proof the application has been initiated
Call Requirements — Important
This is not a Monday–Friday-only position because call is required:
- Weeknight call: 1–2 nights/week, Monday–Friday
- Weekend call: 1 weekend/month
- Friday after shift → Monday morning
- Holiday call: As needed
- Call response time: 30 minutes

- Floating: Possible but uncommon; could float to General, Peds, Neuro or Cardiac OR
