Assignment Details

• Start Date: Tentative August 2026 (dependent on Oncology Infusion Center completion)
• Contract Length: 26 Weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
• Weekend/Holiday/On-Call: Shared rotation with the pharmacy team

Position Overview

Curry Health Network is seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to support the launch and ongoing operations of a new Oncology Infusion Center at Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach, Oregon.

This highly clinical position is ideal for a pharmacist with extensive hospital pharmacy experience and oncology expertise who is confident working independently in a Critical Access Hospital environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe preparation, verification, and management of chemotherapy and other oncology medications while collaborating closely with providers, nurses, and the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Verify and review oncology medication orders for accuracy and safety.
• Prepare chemotherapy medications and compound hazardous drugs in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Evaluate medication dosing, drug interactions, and clinical appropriateness.
• Collaborate with oncology providers, nursing staff, and pharmacy colleagues to optimize patient care.
• Support daily operations and workflow within the Oncology Infusion Center.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation using Epic EMR.
• Practice independently while supporting the needs of a small hospital pharmacy department.
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as part of the pharmacy rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• Active Oregon Pharmacist (RPh) license required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong clinical hospital pharmacy background.
• Oncology pharmacy experience.
• Experience preparing chemotherapy medications.
• Hazardous drug compounding experience.
• Ability to work independently in a small hospital setting.
