Position: PCU RN

Unit: 4th Floor East Wing

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Facility Requirements

• Manager interview only (No clinical interview)
• Minimum 50-mile radius required (locals not accepted)
• Cannot currently be employed (Full-time, Part-time, or PRN) with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health
• Driver's License required at submission
• Artificial fingernails are not permitted in patient care areas
• Must pass an open-book RN exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% or the contract will be terminated

Experience & Certifications

• Active RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Telemetry experience required

Unit Details

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Beds: 55
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 (Days & Nights)
• Patient Population: Adults (Pediatrics rarely, age 15+)

• CVA (Stroke)
• TIA
• Shortness of Breath
• COVID
• Subdural Hematoma
• Weakness

Common Drips/Skills

• Cardizem
• Insulin
• PCA Pumps
• Telemetry monitoring

Equipment

• Epic EMR
• Alaris IV Pumps
• Mechanical Lifts

Floating

• Required
• Primarily to Med-Surg units based on hospital needs

Schedule

• Every other weekend required

Dress Code

• RN: Navy Blue Scrubs
• CNA: Ceil Blue Scrubs

Cancellation Policy

• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
