Position Details

• Position: Outpatient OB/GYN Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Schedule

• Shift: Days
• Hours: 5 × 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Outpatient Clinic experience
• OB/GYN experience is REQUIRED
• Active South Dakota RN License or Compact RN License
• No previous permanent employees of Avera or Sanford are eligible

Required Experience

• Outpatient Clinic Nursing
• OB/GYN Clinic experience

Required Certifications

• BLS
• South Dakota RN License or Compact RN License

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an outpatient OB/GYN clinic.
• Perform patient assessments and obtain medical histories.
• Assist providers with gynecologic and obstetric examinations and procedures.
• Provide patient education regarding prenatal, gynecologic, and reproductive health.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
