Work Experience

EEG Technologist (1 year)

Description

Shift: AM (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
Shift Length: 8 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week (GWW)

Requirements

ABRET certification strongly preferred, but not required
No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
Permanent address must be provided at the time of submission
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Graduate of an accredited END Technology program or equivalent formal training highly recommended
Registration or eligibility for registration in EEG or EP by ABRET highly recommended

Experience

Minimum 1 year of EEG or neurodiagnostic testing experience across all age groups
PC experience required

Responsibilities

Perform otoacoustic, electroencephalogram (EEG), and evoked potential studies
Provide care for neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Perform EEGs and other neurodiagnostic tests on critically ill patients, including those in intensive care units (ICUs)

Cons

Health insurance offerings need work. The plan offered is basically no insurance - does not cover hospitalizations or even ER visits. We’re not talking high deductible…we’re talking no coverage it at all. Also no vision or dental.
