Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Saint Louis, MO
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,836
HealthTrust is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected acute care facility and work alongside a collaborative respiratory care team serving a diverse patient population, including critical care, trauma, cardiac, and emergency patients.
Assignment Details
- Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Location: Saint Louis, MO
- Start Date: August 3, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: Days, 3x12s
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Gross Pay: $1,836
- Employment Type: Travel
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care throughout multiple hospital departments.
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.
- Manage and operate ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen devices, and related respiratory equipment.
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and support trauma and critical care patients.
Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current Missouri Respiratory Care license or eligibility to obtain.
- Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience in adult critical care and high-volume emergency department settings.
- Strong clinical judgment, time management skills, and team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS certification.
- Experience with:
- Blood gas collection and analysis
- Blood gas interpretation
- Trauma and critical care environments
Clinical Environment
- Large acute care hospital with a broad patient population.
