Description
UNIT: FA TECH
MUST HAVE A STRONG BACKGROUND IROBOTS ( XI), NEURO, GENERAL, ORTHO, ENT. Vacular
Experience Required: 2 years; would not recommend first time travelers, will need hiring supervisor approval.
Certs Required: BLS, (first assist must have first assist skills checklist, not general ORT skills checklist)

Neuro/ENT, Orthopedic, General: Breasts/Plastics, Vascular, Laparoscopic, General Oncology, Genitourinary (GU), Gynecology (GYN), Robots (Do not train Agency unless a strong background and here for more than 1 contract) *Please ask candidate in detail what procedures they are familiar with (specifically for Vascular, Robots & ENT)*

-Neuro/ENT
-Spine Surgeries: Laminectomies, ALIFs, Fusions & Discectomies
-Cranial Surgeries: Tumors, AVMs/Aneurysms (Not required), VP shunts, Subdural, EVDs (DOES NOT need to know how to set the system up)
-ENT: Neck dissections with flaps; Sinus Surgery (Stealth Navigation); Basic ENT (Tonsils); Tympanoplasty; Cochlear (Not required)
-Navigation: Medtronic (Cranial & Spine); Medtronic Stealth (ENT); Stryker & Synaptive Navigation (Cranial)
-Orthopedic
-Procedures: Fractures, Anterior Hips, Total Knees, Posterior Hips, Ortho Spine (Laminectomy, ALIF, PLIF, Discectomies) Hand, Bone/Soft Tissue Sarcomas, Foot/Ankle, Total Shoulders, Arthroscopy (Shoulder, knee, ankle, wrist)
-Equipment/Tables: Hanna Table, Jackson Table (open/flat top), Beach Chair (T-Max, Arthrex, Schlein)
-Positioning Equipment: Stulberg Hip, Spider Arm, Hip Grip, Trimano, Arthrex Shoulder Traction, Peg Board, Arm Boards, Acufex Leg Holder
-Specialty Equipment: Velys Robot
-General
-Breasts/Plastics; Vascular; Laparoscopic; General Oncology; Genitourinary (GU); Gynecology (GYN); Robots (XI)
**We do not train Agency on Robots unless a strong background and will be here for more than 1 contract*

Floating: Cross trained to General Main OR specialty (regardless of hiring position) and Urology center
Scheduling:
Variable start times for Day shift (Anywhere between 5:30am-7am)
Weekend rotation: N/A

On Call
30 min response time
General / Neuro
- AM 3-5 call slots Monday through Friday; 1-2 Saturday and/or Sunday (all in an 8 week schedule)

- PM 5-8 overnight call slots (all in an 8 week schedule)
*subject to change based on department needs
Orthopedic Surgical Assistants
1 day each week Monday – Thursday (5-week call schedule)
1 call weekend every 5 weeks (Friday through Sunday)

Holiday Expectations: If Agency wants more information please contact hiring supervisor
*Holiday weeks—Offer 4 10/hr or agency can work normal hours and request to not work (take unpaid) the Holiday
Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs provided by hospital; Scrub caps allowed but needs to be covered by a surgical bouffant
Parking: Free Parking; Days—Detached lot, 2 blocks away; PMs—Lot attached to hospital
