Referral Bonus

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3×12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
• Weekdays, some weekends, and rotating holidays
• May be straight nights or rotating nights

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Active BLS and ACLS
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license at the time of submission
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Patient Ratio

• 1:3

Required Skills

• PCU/Stepdown/DOU/IMC experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• IV starts
• Cardiac drips
• Insulin drips
• Heparin protocols
• Blood product administration
• BiPAP/CPAP
• High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Ventilator care
• Tracheostomy care
• Chest tube management
• PICC and central line care
• Feeding tube management
• Pre/Post Hemodialysis care
• ABG interpretation
• Rapid Response/Code Team experience

Patient Population

• Adult patients
• Cardiac specialty patients
• Chronic ventilator patients
• Post-lung transplant patients
• Renal failure patients

Floating

• Required to float to equivalent or lower-acuity units within the Ohio State University system.

Weekend & Call

• 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• On-call as required

Orientation

• 36 hours

Compliance Requirements

• Compliance deadline is Tuesday before the start date (no exceptions).
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately after signing the contract.
• Travelers outside Ohio may need to travel for fingerprinting or complete a mailed fingerprint packet promptly.
• Unresponsive candidates may be at risk of cancellation.

Time Off

• Maximum 2 pre-approved RTO days
• RTO must be submitted with the application and included in the contract.
