Physical Therapist

Brooklyn, New York

Schedule

Days, 5x8, Monday–Friday

Role Summary

Provide direct physical therapy care, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, progress tracking, discharge documentation, and coordination with the therapy team.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in New York
  • Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
  • Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient needs and monitor progress
  • Document progress and discharge summaries
  • Maintain treatment records and statistics
  • Coordinate therapeutic services with the therapy team
  • Follow hospital and departmental policies, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
  • Support family members in helping with therapy outside the hospital when needed
  • Provide services for infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged standing, reaching, and walking
  • Stooping, bending, and lifting or carrying up to 75 pounds
