First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for a highly skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist in Madison, Wisconsin. Operating within the angiography and interventional imaging suites at a premier, MagnetĀ®-designated academic medical center, Level I Trauma Center, and ranked #1 hospital in Wisconsin, this assignment offers a predictable daytime schedule. - Weekly Gross: $3,486.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,526.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $49.00/hr
- Overtime Rate: $73.50/hr
š SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (Monday through Friday). Features rotating start times scaling between 07:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Special Note: On weeks where observed health-system holidays fall, technologists will transition to 4x10-Hour shifts to maintain guaranteed hours. No block scheduling configurations are available.
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours guaranteed weekly.
- Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Completely free from regular weekend shifts and observed holiday coverage. Standby call may be utilized on an as-needed basis.
- Clinical Environment & Multimodality Care: High-acuity 5-room interventional suite handling diverse adult, geriatric, pediatric, inpatient, outpatient, and intra-operative cases. Technologists utilize multiple imaging modalities for diagnostic and interventional goals, including Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), and MR.
- Core Responsibilities & Procedures: Direct collaboration with physicians and nursing teams to prep access sites, set up complex procedural trays, stock unit supplies, and manage PACS imaging data. Case lines encompass transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS), embolization, chest tube placements, gastrostomy tube placements, IVC filter removals, inferior vena cavagrams, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and complex venous access (central venous lines, PICC lines, and port management).
- Equipment Suite: Primary operations feature Siemens and GE equipment suites.
- EMR Charting System: Epic experience is preferred.
šØ REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated post-graduate clinical interventional imaging experience is required. Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Level II Trauma experience is required (Level I Trauma and acute neuro/stroke experience is strongly preferred).
- Licensure: Valid State of Wisconsin Radiographer License is strictly required and must be fully active at submission.
- Certifications Required: Current ARRT (R) registry and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory. ARRT (VI) certification is preferred.
- Vaccine Guidelines: Full compliance with facility guidelines for the Influenza vaccine is required (approved medical or religious exemptions only). COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
