Description

Med-Surg / Telemetry / PCU Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) – 12-Hour Days

Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 07:00 – 19:00 | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week
Assignment Length: 13-Week Contract
Scheduling Logistics: Float pool scheduler manages scheduling (published 6 weeks out in 4-week blocks). Every other weekend (EOW) required; holiday rotations integrated into permanent staff schedule.
Floating & Shift Notifications [CRITICAL]: Floats across Med-Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and ED inpatient holding at both the West and East campuses (approx. 20–25 minutes apart). Shift assignments are sent via text message 2 hours prior to shift start. Travelers are first to float.
Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, including at least 1 dedicated year in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown) setting.
Licensure Requirement: Active Arizona RN License or Compact RN License verified on Nursys at submission.
Required Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
- Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
