Description

Position: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Tampa, FL

Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract + possible extensions

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)

Schedule: 4 days/week

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week


Note: Local candidates are not accepted. The facility has a 100 mile radius rule. 


Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, monitoring patients during procedural sedation, and providing high-quality care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer and monitor procedural/conscious sedation.
  • Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and interventions.
  • Perform patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Start and maintain IV access as required.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and facility protocols.
  • Participate in required on-call coverage and respond within designated response times.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Florida or compact state RN license.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Cath Lab RN.
  • BLS (AHA) certification.
  • ACLS (AHA) certification.
  • Experience with procedural/conscious sedation.
  • Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills.
  • Ability to take call and arrive at the facility within 30 minutes when on call.
