🔥 HIGH-GROSS DAY-SHIFT CATH LAB TECH CONTRACT – WEEKEND BLOCK SCHEDULE AVAILABLE

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 16-week travel contract opening for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in Bakersfield, California. Operating within a high-volume, 5-suite Cardiac Cath / IR department at a premier STEMI receiving facility, this high-paying position features a predictable Friday–Sunday daytime schedule with block scheduling approval! First-time travel technologists are welcome to apply. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $3,541.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,441.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $50.00/hr (24 regular hours)
  • Daily Overtime Rate: $75.00/hr (12 daily OT hours included under California labor guidelines)

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (Friday through Sunday). Block scheduling approved for Friday–Sunday shifts! (Facility is also open to 10-hour or 12-hour shift variations).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular/OT hours guaranteed weekly.
  • Assignment Duration: Extended 16-week contract.
  • On-Call Requirements: Weeknight call rotation of 1 shift per week and weekend call rotation of 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning). Standby call rate is $7.00/hr ($139.00/hr call-back rate).
  • Clinical Scope & Pacing: Comprehensive coverage across a 5-suite lab (2 coronary suites, 1 peripheral suite, 1 vascular/neuro suite, and 1 EP suite) handling 10 to 22 cases per day. Multi-disciplinary staffing model (2 techs per case: 1 scrub and 1 monitoring hemodynamics).
  • Case Diversity: Coronary/cardiac interventions, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro interventions.
  • EMR Charting System: Cerner EMR.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Current clinical Cath Lab experience is required. Must be proficient in scrub/monitor roles, procedural workflow, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), procedural airway awareness, and familiar with cardiac drip management (Integrilin, Dopamine, vasopressors). First-time travelers accepted!
  • Licensure & Credentials:
    • Active ARRT registration is required.
    • Valid California Fluoroscopy Permit is required.
    • Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Note: RCIS or CCT credentials without ARRT/Fluoro are strictly NOT accepted for this position.
